MORNING

Preparation
With your eyes closed and while you are lying
in bed become aware of your natural breathing:
in . . . and out . . . in . . . out. After several
breaths take a deep, complete, cleansing breath
and feel breath entering through your nostrils
and filling your body. Hold for just a moment
and in this moment, in this gap, positive energy
and love enter. Now exhale. Feel breath leave
and take with it the remnants of your sleep and
any remaining tension and tiredness.
Practice
Inhale and feel filled with fresh, clean, healthy
breath. Like a large, pliable balloon breathe
fills you through your lungs and then into every
part of your body; down through your legs and
into the ver tips of your toes. Breath fills your
abdomen and your chest. Breath fills into your
arms and into the very tips of your fingers. Breath
fills your neck and your head. As you are filled
with breath, your cells and tissue become alive
they move and vibrate. As the cells awaken,
renewed energy for anew day fills you and prepares
you to live.
Thank breath for your ability to experience
and to feel. Stay in the moment.
When you are ready leave your bed, stand
with your legs shoulder width apart. Let your
whole body relax. Move your arms
and legs and gently sake your body. Reach up
to the sky and gently arch your back extending
your arms gently over your head. Move back
and forth and coordinate your breathing with
your movement. Move back and forth like a wave,
gently rocking until your whole body is
in motion, your hips and legs following your arms
and hands. Move gently . . . breathe fully.
Move gently . . . breathe fully. Begin
your day.
